Trading FAQ


What fields are required when I trade my contacts?

In order for you to receive credit for a traded contact, each contact record must contain the following:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Job Title
  • Direct Phone and/or Main Phone
  • Email Address
  • Company Name
  • Company Street Address
  • Company City
  • Company State/Province
  • Company Zip/Postal Code
  • Company Country (not required)
  • Company URL/Web site (not required)

Do you accept international contacts?

At this time we will only accept traded contacts based in the United States or Canada.


Will you accept any email address?

We will only accept business email addresses. We don't accept any personal contact info, including personal email addresses.  As a rule, we don't accept email addresses for domains such as @hotmail.com, @aol.com, and @comcast.net.  Also, we reject email addresses for generic mailboxes such as info@, feedback@, and sales@.


What file formats can I upload for trading?

Our system accepts CSV and Excel files with any column headers.  You can export CSV files directly from Salesforce, Outlook, and several other popular tools, and then upload them directly to NetProspex for trading.


Once I have traded data, how soon will I receive my credits?

Credits are typically awarded within one hour following your uploading your file to us.


Who can access the information that I provide to NetProspex?

Any registered user can download contacts, however all contributors are completely anonymous and data is merged into the database so that user contributions are invisible to all other users.


If I am a user, will I be included in the database?

No. User information is not included in the database. Registration information is kept private and secure and is used only for purposes of maintaining subscription accounts, billing and to contact users regarding our services. We do not share, sell or rent this information with or to any third party. See our privacy policy for further information on this.


What should my trade file look like?

The trade process includes a step that allows you to map your file's column headers to our required data fields.  We recommend eliminating unnecessary columns from your trade file before uploading to make the process easier for yourself. For a sample Excel file that you can use as a basic template, see the image below, or download the SampleTradeFile.xls.
